Assessment and
Interview from Jail
Each alternative sentence candidate is interviewed from
jail to make sure that he/she qualifies for the NARCONON®
Drug Rehabilitation and Education program, has the
desire and intention to get better along with a
willingness to take responsibility for what they have
done. Individuals who are looking only to avoid jail
obtain uncertain results with any rehabilitation program
and often relapse. Our staff are highly skilled at
obtaining a commitment for rehabilitation from qualified
offenders. Direct phone lines are available to accept
collect calls from a person in custody with a genuine
interest.
Many families question whether helping get somebody out
of jail is the right thing to do. Staff can work closely
to help families understand the offender's
rehabilitation alternatives in comparison with
sentencing.
Sentencing Services and
Appearances
Pre-Trial Services include representation of the program
to interested parties via teleconferencing and/or
submission of materials. Narconon staff can provide
expert opinion; immediate, accurate, and informative
answers to those questions that arise. This allows all
parties to weigh the merits of alternative sentencing
for the offender.
Our Legal Liaison Officer provides necessary reports so
the solicitor can prepare for future court dates. This
winning formula has made all the difference in the
alternative sentence disposition of most cases.
Escort to Rehab Services
Narconon works with intervention and escort
specialists to handle the custody and transport of
individuals who have been ordered to an Alternative
Sentence at an accredited rehabilitation program. For
years we have worked with barristers, solicitors, families, and
courts, coast to coast. Narconon staff are completely
aware of the manipulative tendencies of the addict and
are trained to handle situations that come up
accordingly.
Family Consultation
By the time our services have been requested, the family
has been through a lot. There are details that need to
be handled that worry the family and the person seeking
help such as sending personal property to rehab,
communicating to family members, and additional legal
issues. The Narconon staff are available to handle most
family needs. Usually, what the family needs is just
plain sound advice and encouragement from an experienced
Narconon counselor.
